The industry standard HG/T 2889-2026 "Latex Thread" is under the jurisdiction of the Latex Products Sub-Technical Committee of the National Technical Committee for Standardization of Rubber and Rubber Products. Its main drafting units include Zhejiang Longxiang Industrial Co., Ltd., Hainan Taixiang Industrial Co., Ltd., and the Shanghai Institute of Quality Inspection and Technical Research. It was issued on April 16, 2026, will be implemented starting November 1, 2026, and fully replaces HG/T 2889-2011. At the same time, the national standard plan "General-Purpose Rubber Thread" is being drafted with the participation of units such as Zhejiang Longxiang Industrial Co., Ltd. and Hainan Taixiang Industrial Co., Ltd., and is identical to ISO 20058:2017. Participation in the development of industry standards and national standards has gradually given the company the industrial role of National Standard-Setting Entity for Latex Thread in China, and has also enabled Chinese latex thread to have a clearer technical language in the international procurement system.
